The key to affect the accuracy inspection of AOI is sufficient LED light source and uniformity. Otherwise, the image will be unclear to affect the interpretation of AOI. The quality of light source depends on three factors: lumen, uniformity, and stability.

Lumen, refers to the illuminance of light. Sufficient light sources can present the clarity of images and improve the accuracy of machine interpretation.

Uniformity, illuminated by a sophisticated light source, there is no difference in brightness between the light sources and no signal difference effect on the image, which improves the accuracy of machine interpretation.

Stability, due to the substantial increase in the number of images taken, the time of intensive lighting will also be increased. Therefore, hot lumen stability of LED is also the key for detection, maintaining constant brightness can complement the light of CMOS/CCD to achieve a consistent image effect.
